Upon arrival in Florence, you’ll check in to your centrally located hotel. In the afternoon, meet your tour leader and fellow travelers for a guided walking tour of the city. As we stroll through the historic center, you’ll admire famous sites such as the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Piazza della Signoria, and the iconic Ponte Vecchio.
In the early evening, we’ll visit the traditional Christmas market in Piazza Santa Croce, one of the most atmospheric in all of Italy. You’ll have time to browse wooden stalls selling handmade crafts, local treats, and festive decorations. The smell of cinnamon, mulled wine, and roasted chestnuts will fill the air, a perfect start to our Tuscan holiday!
After the visit, the evening is yours to enjoy dinner in one of Florence’s cozy trattorias or simply relax and soak in the holiday spirit.
After breakfast at the hotel, the entire day is free for you to enjoy Florence at your own pace. You might choose to visit world-famous museums like the Uffizi or the Accademia, climb the Duomo for an unforgettable view, or do some Christmas shopping in the elegant streets around Via Tornabuoni.
Your tour leader will be available to help with suggestions, directions, or optional activities. Whether you want to explore the city’s rich cultural heritage or simply enjoy an affogato at Vivoli or a good gelato, today is all about you.
In the evening, you can revisit the Christmas market or try a new restaurant with typical Florentine cuisine.

After breakfast, we leave Florence and head south through the rolling hills of Tuscany, arriving in the stunning hilltop town of Montepulciano. Famous for its Renaissance architecture and scenic views, Montepulciano becomes even more magical during the Christmas season. You’ll have free time to explore its Christmas Village, set inside the walls of the ancient fortress, where fairy lights, wooden chalets, and festive music create a storybook atmosphere.
Following our visit, we’ll explore an underground cellar. You’ll sample some of Montepulciano’s renowned wines, including the famous Vino Nobile, paired with regional products like pecorino cheese, cured meats, and rustic bread. It’s a delicious way to discover the flavors of this unique area.
In the afternoon, we continue to the charming city of Arezzo, known for its medieval streets and one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Italy, held in the historic Piazza Grande. You’ll have time to stroll through the market, browse artisanal crafts, and enjoy the cozy holiday atmosphere before returning to Florence in the evening.
After breakfast, it’s time to check out of the hotel. You can choose to continue your Italian adventure or return home with beautiful memories, new friendships, and a heart full of holiday cheer.
Transfers to the train station or airport can be arranged upon request.
You can arrive to Florence whenever it is best for you. Check in time is from 3:00pm but if you arrive earlier feel free to store your bags in the accommodation. Tour will officially start at 7:30 pm.
