Experience the authentic flavors of the region without the exclusive focus on alcohol! Our Family-Friendly Tuscany Wine-Free Tour is perfect for families, non-drinkers, and food lovers looking for a delicious cultural adventure in the Chianti countryside.
While many tours focus only on vineyards, this journey highlights the incredible variety of Tuscan agriculture. If you have any questions about this tour, please feel free to get in touch.Â
First, meet your guide and hop into a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan. As we leave the meeting point, you can immediately soak in the breathtaking scenery of the Tuscan countryside. During the drive, you will see iconic rolling hills, sprawling vineyards, and ancient olive groves. Consequently, there will be plenty of opportunities to admire the landscape before we reach our first destination.
Our first stop takes you to a charming family-run farm with panoramic views of San Gimignano’s medieval towers. Here, you’ll indulge in a unique tasting experience featuring locally produced honey paired with traditional Tuscan cheese.
Furthermore, you can enjoy the farm’s homemade bruschetta selection, including:
Bruschetta with local honey and savory cheese.
Seasonal bruschetta topped with fresh vegetables.
Fettunta, which is a classic toasted bread drizzled with extra virgin olive oil.
During this visit, you will also learn about sustainable farming practices and traditional honey production. Therefore, this stop is perfect for food lovers of all ages who want to see how authentic Tuscan products are made.
Next, we visit a traditional winery for a delicious light lunch in a beautiful countryside setting. Because we want this to be an inclusive experience, this stop offers something for everyone:
Adults can enjoy a guided tasting of three regional wines, including a Chianti DOCG. During the tasting, you will learn about Tuscany’s winemaking traditions directly from the experts.
Alternatively, non-drinkers and younger guests can enjoy a guided tasting of three types of aged balsamic vinegar. Additionally, we provide samples of extra virgin olive oil drizzled over fresh bread. For a refreshing alternative, seasonal grape juice and soft drinks are always available.
After lunch, we head to the enchanting town of San Gimignano. This UNESCO-listed site is famous for its iconic towers and historic charm. During your leisure time, you can:
Explore the charming historic streets and squares at your own pace.
Try the world-famous gelato from Gelateria Dondoli.
Browse local artisan shops for pottery and leather goods.
Capture stunning photos of the countryside from various panoramic viewpoints.
Finally, we will depart for our return journey, arriving back at the starting point at 4:15 PM. If you are looking for more adventures, be sure to check out our other Day Tours from Florence.
