Once in Pisa, you will have two hours to explore the famous Piazza dei Miracles (Square of Miracles), climb the bell tower of the Cathedral, known as the Leaning Tower of Pisa, visit the Duomo (the Cathedral), the Baptistry, and the Campo Santo (the monumental cemetery) at your own pace.
We will head to Lucca in the afternoon, where the walls around the Renaissance-era old town and walls are still intact. These viewing spots make the perfect place to admire the city, where composer Giacomo Puccini (La Bohème and Madama Butterfly) was born. In Lucca, you will have free time to visit the many churches that make this town unique as well as the famous square, Piazza Anfiteatro, Guinigi Tower, St. Martin’s Cathedral, plus the narrow streets lined with shops selling local products and antiques.
