Begin your Italian journey in the heart of Rome, the Eternal City.
Check in from 3:00 pm, or if you arrive early, drop off your bags and start exploring right away. In the evening, join your tour leader and fellow travelers for a welcome briefing followed by a sunset stroll past the Colosseum and Roman Forum, beautifully illuminated. Cap off your first day with a cozy Roman dinner at a traditional trattoria, enjoy authentic dishes, share laughs and stories, and raise a glass to the adventure ahead.
Start your day with a guided morning orientation walk through Rome’s charming backstreets, taking in iconic sights such as Piazza Navona, the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon, and the Trevi Fountain. Discover the city’s extraordinary architecture, layered history, and artistic masterpieces as you explore Rome on foot.
Continue on to Vatican City for a 2-hour guided tour of the Vatican Museums, including the awe-inspiring Sistine Chapel (tickets included), followed by free time to visit St. Peter’s Basilica.
