If you travel from Rome, make your way to the centrally located Roma Termini railway station and board a high-speed train to Naples, where you can relax during the approximately 1-hour journey. You will be travelling independently from Rome to Naples. Once having arrived in Naples, your expert and professional Neapolitan driver will be ready to show you the pearls of the Amalfi Coast on board an air-conditioned minivan. If you have selected the Naples departure, you will meet your guide directly there.
First stop will be Positano, where you will have free time to wander around the village independently. Known as the ‘Jewel of the Amalfi Coast,’ this quintessential Italian Mediterranean village sits against the mountainside, boasting a spectacular location on the rocky shoreline. Perhaps take a walk along narrow lanes lined with shops, relax on the pebble beach, go swimming or enjoy a bite to eat or drink at a café.
Return to the minivan to continue your day trip to your second village, Amalfi, home to charming architecture and historical sights like Amalfi Cathedral, a 9th-century church in the main square. You have more free time here to explore on your own.
Then make the drive back to Naples for the return train ride to Rome, where your day trip ends.
