Explore the breathtaking Amalfi Coast and the enchanting gems of Puglia on this unforgettable 8-day adventure! From the sun-kissed shores of Capri to the trulli houses of Alberobello, immerse yourself in Italy’s most picturesque coastal landscapes, rich history, and mouthwatering cuisine.
3:00pm Central Train Station: Meet your tour leader in Naples the birthplace of pizza and a city full of vibrant culture and start your adventure toward the South of Italy. If you depart from Florence or Rome our team can help you organize the transfer by fast speed train. After meeting your tour leader, head to the charming seaside town of Sorrento, where you’ll enjoy stunning views of the Bay of Naples and its lively atmosphere.
Check in to your accommodation, rest some time, and meet back with your guide to head down to Sorrento for an orientation walk through the hidden and narrow streets of the old center crowed of ceramic, linen clothes, shoes, leather bags, sandals, and limoncello shops. Let yourself be overwhelmed by the smiling faces of the Southern people and their products. End the walk on a beautiful terrace and enjoy the sunset over Sorrento bay. In the evening enjoy an optional yummy 4-course dinner based on some delicious seafood handmade pasta or gnocchi and traditional food of the area in a local restaurant in Sorrento. After dinner, end the day by the beach next to the old marina with a drink in your hand while enjoying the Gulf of Naples at night.
What a perfect way to start the day with a boat trip to Capri island. In Capri you will have time to discover the island in complete freedom by public bus; visit Anacapri, where you can take the chairlift up to the top of Mt. Solaro for a breathtaking 360-degree view of the island, visit the Blue Grotto with fantastic crystal blue colors, explore Capri town and finally relax on the beach.
We will board the boat again in the afternoon to return to the camping village but not before touring around the island of Capri to admire the Grotta Verde (Green Grotto), Punta Carena, (the furthest point of the island), the Faraglioni rocks and all the amazing natural beauties. Back to the camping village in the late afternoon.
Once back to the accommodation you will be taken for a swim in a spectacular natural pool of emerald water set among the ancient Roman ruins with coastal views at the sunset. Spend the evening as you prefer.
Our third day is all for the Amalfi coast and its wonders. The panorama from the narrow and windy road of the Amalfi coast will be terrific. During the journey to Amalfi, we will pass by the Islands of Galli, the fishing villages of Furore and Praiano, famous for their crystal-clear seas, the encompassing views, and its cathedral located 365m above sea level.
We will stop in the town of Amalfi for about 2hrs to allow you to discover the town at your own peace and its famous cathedral, lie down at the beach and have a bite at one of the typical shops selling fresh local food. We will board again after lunch for the splendid town of Positano with its cascade of colorful houses, clinging magically to earth. Its pastel buildings form a vertical wonderland. Narrow, threadlike streets provide boutiques, cafes, restaurants, and bars. In Positano we will stay 3hrs to allow you to relax on the beach, go for a swim and discover this little gem of the Amalfi coast.
Step back in time as you visit the ancient city of Pompeii, frozen in time by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. You’ll have two hours of free time to explore this fascinating archaeological site at your own pace.
In the afternoon, return to Naples for a food and orientation tour of the city. Stroll through historic streets, visit lively markets, and taste iconic Neapolitan specialties like pizza, sfogliatella, and espresso. Spend the night in Naples, soaking up its vibrant atmosphere.
Catch a train from Naples to Bari, the lively capital of Puglia. Explore its charming old town (Bari Vecchia), stroll along the seafront promenade, and savor the region’s famous orecchiette pasta.
Visit the postcard-perfect coastal town of Monopoli, where whitewashed buildings meet the turquoise sea. Then, head to Polignano a Mare, home to dramatic cliffs and crystal-clear waters—don’t forget to try the famous caffè speciale!
Travel inland to the fairy-tale town of Alberobello, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its unique trulli houses. Continue to Locorotondo, a hidden gem known for its whitewashed streets and fantastic local wine.
