Italian Christmas is such a thing. Even if decorations are supposed to be done until December 8th, we don’t care cause we LOVE Christmas.

It’s one of the best seasons in the year in every country and of course, Italy has it’s very own traditions. But about that, we’ll talk on another post. Right now we wanna talk to you about an amazing thing we do here. We call them “Mercatini di Natale” or “Christmas Markets”, and is like visiting a vintage old shopping place.
Even if it’s quite cold by this time of the year, complete families come to visit our markets. You can see children, couples, dogs, and a great number of young people looking to the big variety of products, so the environment becomes quite cozy.

Markets started in 2003 when Germans brought that idea to our country and since then we’ve continued that tradition. On this markets you can find local Italian products like clothes, desserts, perfumes, wines… and the list goes; but as we mentioned, they come from Germany so there’s a mix of cultures and from all over Europe like France and the Netherlands, so you’d be able to find amazing handmade products from different countries.

Though Florence not only has the Christmas Market’s; the city is full of history since we are in Tuscany so there’s much more to do at Christmas time. We assure you that you can have an amazing experience in our beautiful landscapes; and better with some Tuscan wine. “La Toscana” offers real postcard material plus delicious cucina Italiana.
So if you decided to come to Italy for Christmas time and you wanna explore it in a total local way, you are lucky to be reading this since we have saved the best for now. We offer you these amazing tours you can take with us!
